A Brilliant Badminton for Team Albion

Last week saw us head to the beautiful Badminton Estate for the 75th Anniversary of Badminton Horse Trials.

The sun was shining, and our sponsored riders were on form! It was an honour to be supporting 5* Eventing legend William Fox-Pitt for what turned out to be his 25th and final completion at Badminton, announcing his retirement from top level competition. We also had debut Badminton rider Will Rawlin competing at his first 5* with Ballycoog Breaker boy, as well as Australian event rider Bill Levett riding Huberthus AC.

Badminton is always a highlight show for us, this year we were thrilled to have been awarded 3rd place for the way we showcased our trade stand, with the judges very impressed by the knowledge and engagement of our team.

It was lovely to meet and talk with so many current and new Albion lovers on our stand, helping them test out all of our saddle models and start designing their dream Albions!

Our Saddlemakers bench once again proved very popular with lots of people getting involved and having a go at making a saddle with Albion Saddlemaker Alec.

Badminton 2024 was extremely exciting for us to exhibit our brand new Dressage Range – The Unity Series for the first time, and also launch not just 1, but 2 other new saddle models! Introducing our revolutionary brand new jumping saddle – The Fusion, and the highly requested K3 dressage saddle!

Having the Unity saddles on display meant we could offer people the chance to sit in both the Unity X and the Unity Y with them instantly acknowledging a preference to one of the seats and talk us through what they were feeling. Our two years of research and development with these saddles was widely appreciated, with many people saying they hadn’t felt such an instant comfort in a saddle before.

It was wonderful for us to see the Unity in action at Badminton with William Fox-Pitt producing a beautiful test in his unity saddle aboard Graffenacht, William feels the Unity is “incredibly secure and comfortable, with a very comforting closeness to the horse, I felt she was moving better in it – freer, softer and in a lovely balance.” William rides in the Unity Y.

A huge congratulations to our fantastic sponsored riders for their incredible performances all week, we are so proud!

William Fox-Pitt riding Graffenacht finished in 13th after their masterclass performance on the cross country course.

Will Rawlin riding Ballycoog Breaker Boy finished in 24th position at their first Badminton following a super clear cross country ride.

Bill Levett and Huberthus AC retired on the tough cross country course after a great first half, Bill chose to save Bart for another competition.

Well done to our riders, we can’t wait to watch and support them throughout the rest of the event season!

The next show you can find us at is Bramham Horse Trials from the 6th to the 9th of June.

See you there!
